Scope of Work: Divorce Coaching Services

As a Divorce Coach, I provide practical, strategic support to help individuals navigate the complex process of divorce with greater clarity, focus, and confidence. My role complements the work of legal, mental health, and financial professionals by helping clients stay organized, prepared, and aligned with their long-term goals.

Core Areas of Support

1. Clarity and Decision-Making Support

  • Help clients define their goals, priorities, and non-negotiables during the divorce process.

  • Provide tools for evaluating choices logically rather than reactively.

  • Assist in preparing for key decisions related to legal strategy, parenting plans, and post-divorce life.

2. Co-Parenting and Communication Strategy

  • Provide guidance on how to communicate more effectively with a difficult or high-conflict co-parent.

  • Assist with drafting or reviewing parenting plans to ensure they’re realistic and sustainable.

  • Support clients in setting boundaries and managing co-parenting logistics in a more structured, business-like way.

3. Strategic Planning and Organization

  • Break down the divorce process into manageable tasks and phases.

  • Help clients prepare for legal meetings, mediation, and court by organizing documents, questions, and goals.

  • Ensure clients are using their time effectively with other professionals by staying on track and focused.

4. Post-Divorce Planning

  • Help clients create a plan for the next chapter of their lives, including routines, responsibilities, and personal or professional goals.

  • Support the implementation of parenting plans, schedules, and systems for smoother transitions.

  • Encourage forward-thinking approaches to building stability and structure.

What a Divorce Coach Is Not

  • Not a therapist: I do not address mental health or provide emotional counseling.

  • Not a lawyer: I do not offer legal advice or represent clients in legal proceedings.

  • Not a financial advisor: I do not provide investment, tax, or financial planning services.

Collaborative Support

I often work in tandem with:

  • Family law attorneys and mediators to help clients stay organized, reduce conflict, and remain focused on outcomes.

  • Therapists when emotional challenges are present that require clinical care.

  • Financial professionals to ensure clients are prepared to make informed, practical decisions based on their financial picture.
